Lunch in Schools

We receive a healthy lunch on a daily basis for each child. This kai is balanced and healthy and often consists of a main such as a sandwich or  burger patty and also some in season fruit and a snack.

We also receive a hot lunch on 1 of the 5 days. This may be chicken, rice, pasta. 

We cater for all dietary requirements. Please inform the office when enrolling. 

 

Our lunch is provided by Kāpura. 

Since 2021, Kāpura has provided school meals for children in the Hutt Valley and Porirua.

Their central kitchen prepares and delivers around 6,500 healthy and filling school lunches a day - all made with love and care.

Everything from the ingredients, to the environmentally sustainable packaging is sourced and made locally.

All scraps from the kitchen go into worm farms where children are able to see how compost works and can use the nutrients in their own gardens.
