Nau mai, haere mai ki Kōhanga te Rā. He whanau rūmaki Māori mātou , e whāngai ana i Te Reo Māori me ōna Tikanga ki a tātou tamariki. E whāngai ana i ngā tau 0 ki ngā tau 8. Ka whāngai i ngā tamariki ki ngā rawa e puawai ai he taiohi Māori whakahīhī, māia anō hoki!

Welcome to Kōhanga Te Rā, a Level 1 total immersion unit with an intake of year 0-8. Te Reo Māori me ōna Tikanga is embedded in to the day to day operation of the unit. We build our tamariki with all the necessary tools they would need to live as proud and confident tangata Māori!

The language is the life force of everything we do in our whanau, by keeping things moving forward and challenging our tamariki in everything they do.

Our language has a life force, as we cherish it and care for it. Here at Kohanga Te Ra our tamariki are on a journey where they learn through a Te Ao Maori scope that tie in with the Values of Kohanga Te Ra.
